A Couple of Couplets

Spring is here; the cherry blossoms bloom
Bringing fragile flowers, soft perfume
April's wind and rain are not discreet
Lay pink petaled rug beneath our feet

Rhyming back-to-front, upside-down and inside-out.
Well done and I particularly like the April/lay p..., where you borrow a letter from the next word to make the front rhyme perfect.

Sweet frame.

The ending reminds me of a poem I wrote called Carpet of Fire
about red leaves under the trees.
I knew exactly what you meant.

LOVELY and PERFECT. You completely understand the concept and you wrote it so beautifully. Thank you. I felt I was there in every word!

Nice and simple. I like that. Last week when I mowed there was lavender and lilacs and violets and wild onions all growing at the same time. My yard smelled really funny. Like someone's Italian grandmother.

I thought this one would be right up your alley, LM. Nice job. I love those pink rains of April, even though the petals look pretty damn good where they were--it's about the cycle.

Cherry blossoms are a wonderful part of spring, so beautiful whether overhead or underfoot. And you did well with the framed couplets here, as well!
