Always

image from ColinJong.com
Years
go by
You and I
smile and laugh
at each new gray hair
how we can't see small print
the wrinkles that have moved in
and  we  don't   bother  to   evict
Half   a   century   of   loving  you
yet every day feels like something new

Yup. After almost 25 years together we can still point and laugh at each other. We're a comedy team with only ourselves as an audience.

And you summed it all up very nicely. Thank you.

Awwww Wonderful tribute to enduring love. Love can and does last a lifetime but, people these days forget, it has to keep being nurtured and cared for, it doesn't just happen.

We've only been married 20 years, but I can relate to the gray hair, wrinkles & fine print. Lovely poem!
