If Fioretti were writ new
You'd have roasted all the starlings.
You must believe that you are right
You act with venom and with spite
That cross 'round your neck is a joke
I hope some day it makes you choke.

This is my first attempt at a Rispetto poem. It's been revised several times already to fix the meter!

For starters...I had no idea what a Rispetto was...I don't get out much...:) Now to this piece...wow...raw emotion. The first time I read it, I was sure it was directed at Francis. The second time I read it, I thought...no, this is directed at someone contemporary. The third time...I'm not sure. That's the beauty of it isn't it? Good job. Vb
