Behind Glass

Children's faces pressed against glass, the SUV sits in traffic
Animal shelter eyes pleading, "Take me home with you, please."
Too many prisoners and not enough knights to rescue them all.

I love the sentiment.. we are powerless against the needs.. but how should we select?...and who are the real knights?

I would love to be a knight, but often it so hard to know what to do for the best.

So simple, and yet such a powerful statement to put together those images of children and creatures powerless in their enclosures.

A powerful poem in defence of the powerless.
