To capture a moment
To recreate it
With paintbrush
Pen
Pencil
Camera
Destroys the moment.
Putting a frame around it
means one is no longer
in the moment
but an observer.
for the artist
but is evoked again
in others.

That's quite a point of view to ponder..perhaps the artist puts her soul into what could be just a passing moment..keep doing it!!
I like this a lot!
I really like this, Your Mouseness. I always think this, when I see someone with their face stuck behind a video camera all through some wedding or graduation. I think, put the camera down and BE HERE, you're missing it in the moment.
wow, this one is divine.
I am completely blown away by your take.
smiles.
have fun today.
Oh how true this is. So very true.
True, and I love the empty frame. It seems to hang waiting for inspiration.
Ooh, this is so interesting. Deep thoughts, indeed.
It becomes so many more moments as you say - another mystique. The best moments give birth to so many more and gain in doing so. Like your poem.
there is a great line in the movie 'boiler room"...paraphrase...the moment you lay your hands on a conversation you become a salesman, trying to sell your point of view...i get this...
Hmm, I love the expression on the frame.. how one turns into observer.. *thumbs up*

Yes, I am back and TT is up and going again.. See you..
Recreating always changes the real story behind the image, or memory. It is the now, that tells the true story, well said.
love the thought in this one, lovely :)
