Call me
a crepuscular creature
I exist
in the in-between
Not light
not dark
Not day
not night
I inhabit the fringes
the edges
My time
is the time of change
the time of uncertainty
I hover
along the borders
of this and that
I am at home
in the almost
and the not-quite
I belong to everyone
and to no one.

Ah--what an interesting idea for a poem--and we many of us spend a lot of time in this in-between place--probably more in the dusk of it than the sunrise--you've handle this really well here, Lola--a vivid space. Thanks. k.
A space I have often thought about. You captured it beautifully.
I am very fond of the word 'crepuscular' and you have turned it into a memorable persona.
Powerful closing lines!!
That edge.. I love that image on time. Somehow the present is always the twilight, a shore between tomorrow and the past... love it.
Ah - my favorite time; beautifully described.
And now I know what "crepuscular" means! I liked this.
many can relate to this twilight space...a lovely write & learnt a new word :)
Wow! What a perfect description of time.
I love how you play with the boundaries of everything here. Also, thanks for forcing me to look up "crepuscular".
Mysterious and wonderful.
What an interesting take on the prompt....to inhabit the fringes and edges of time. Love it.
Excellent use of the theme. Well written too :-)
