Crepuscular Creatures

source
Call me
a crepuscular creature
I exist
in the in-between
Not light
not dark
Not day
not night
I inhabit the fringes
the edges
My time
is the time of change
the time of uncertainty
I hover
along the borders
of this and that
I am at home
in the almost
and the not-quite
I belong to everyone
and to no one.

Ah--what an interesting idea for a poem--and we many of us spend a lot of time in this in-between place--probably more in the dusk of it than the sunrise--you've handle this really well here, Lola--a vivid space. Thanks. k.

A space I have often thought about. You captured it beautifully.

That edge.. I love that image on time. Somehow the present is always the twilight, a shore between tomorrow and the past... love it.

I love how you play with the boundaries of everything here. Also, thanks for forcing me to look up "crepuscular".
