Midnight Snack

Midnight Snack by Curtis Wilson Cost (1984)

We giggle like kids

hide under covers

sneak a tickle

The dogs study us

like we’ve gone mad

then sigh and fall asleep

In the morning

we’ll drink coffee and

read the paper

at the kitchen table

But tonight we snack

in bed.
