Midnight Snack by Curtis Wilson Cost (1984) |
We giggle like kids
hide under covers
sneak a tickle
The dogs study us
like we’ve gone mad
then sigh and fall asleep
In the morning
we’ll drink coffee and
read the paper
at the kitchen table
But tonight we snack
in bed.

oo la la.....a little midnite or evening snack is not a bad thing at all...good to still giggle like kids as you play too...ha.
A fresh, upbeat, entertaining take on the prompt.
There are many feasts to be had in bed...
Clever write.

A wonderful, fun metaphor ~~ that snack!
Hee hee hee! The dogs always look at you like you've gone completely crazy, don't they? I love it!
