Want Art???

Isaac is a friend of my daughter and an amazing artist. Please consider helping him raise money by commissioning a piece. I'm thinking of what I'd like now!

Thanks,
lolamouse (Sheri)

i am a dfab trans man entering college next year and i need top surgery before i move in with my cis male roommates - so, within the next SEVEN WEEKS. that’s not a lot of time. right now my family can’t afford the surgery alone, much less afford the surgery AND tuition for both me and my sister.

long story short, i need money. at this point #surgery is not only to make me feel better in my body (which is reason enough, and you should never shame a trans* person who wants surgery to help with #dysphoria) - it is practically a necessity.

so i am now taking commissions at a price YOU NAME. i do still reserve the right to refuse commissions that make me uncomfortable.

message me here if you are interested in buying a commission. if you would like to donate even without buying a commission, i would REALLY REALLY REALLY appreciate it. my paypal is livengoodisaac@gmail.com

Circles

Circles by lolamouse
Spinning thoughts
on an exhausting journey
going nowhere
Stuck
on an obsessive mind carousel
Mad horses racing
to a nonexistent finish line
while the music plays on
and on
and on

Arting Again

Trying my hand with the acrylics again. Better luck this time (thanks Rabs!) This one, I think, is going to be for my Mom's birthday this month.  Bird of Paradise is her favorite flower. She's also getting a Roux original by Rabbit (thanks again!) that you can see on the website. Her name is Gail and she's playing mah jong. If you haven't checked out the Roux site yet, definitely do-it's full of adorable Roux bunnies (Easter gifts anyone?) that you can have designed however you want!

Happy Arting and have a good weekend!

Trying To Be Koi

Another attempt at painting. This time it was acrylics. I loved the buttery feel of doing the blue background, and the green lily pads seemed to go smoothy, but I had fits with the fish! The orange (I mixed red and yellow paint) was totally transparent on the background (I thought acrylics were opaque-guess not!) and when I added gel medium to thicken it, it was like working with peanut butter! My poor koi were gloppy and I was not happy with them. So I went back to an old standby stamping technique--embossing--and covered those babies with gold embossing. Not great, but I can live with them now. I think my craft room (and my lungs) are filled with some sort of toxic fumes now, though. That acrylic paint made a really nasty smell when heated with an embossing gun! Tips for future projects any of you art people out there?

Doodle-y Do!

An attempt at non-word art! I've been watching some videos on painting "doodles," and this is my first attempt. If nothing else, I had a blast making it!
