Will the sun rise when you are gone?
I can imagine only night
The stars, the moon may still be bright
but will the morning ever come?
Who will I be when you're away?
Will the sun rise when you are gone?
I have lived within your orbit
eighteen years now, a lifetime long
Will the tulips bloom come the spring?
Will lizards skitter on pebbles?
Will the sun rise when you are gone?
Will cherry blossoms pink again?
When you see the moon, think of me
Watching over you quietly
Waiting for you to come back home
Will the sun rise when you are gone?

one is becoming romantic and melancholy. like a stream running through a bucolic setting; maybe corrosive to the inner banks but soothing at the same time.
nice mi amiga
I love the questioning and how you preserved the wonder in this form!
Bravo Miss Mouse
I know exactly where this is coming from.. There's a terrible beauty in motherhood, and this leaving home stuff that children want to do is just crap! I'm in the same place, which is why I'm sniffling as I write.
I don't know how or why the world dares to go on as normal, when a loved one is away or gone.
I know the day will come when my children leave home but it is so hard to imagine what it will be like to know that they wont be home for dinner or raiding the pantry.
Beautiful thoughtful words Miss Mouse
beautiful, Lolamouse ~
