Fever or a nightmare, perhaps ~ Take 2, dear LM ~ Good work on the form and thanks for playing along ~Wishing you lovely weekend ~
Hopefully it was a fever and not true! The reader can draw his/her own conclusions, which makes it interesting.
Throwing up might be an appropriate response, either way. You're welcome.--The Politeness Lady
uh oh. she gives him fever. watch out!
oy, i might say nightmare...seeing someone else in the arms of your spouse or lover...you kinda leave it ope though for us to decide...hmm...
Nifty poem that goes well with the illustration--which can be looked at in so many ways. (until I actually figured it out!)
Go away you fever,,,,
its very close to reality, isnt it??
I like the half in half out of dreams feel of this poem, LM.
You put everythin in those few lines, even dialogue. Free verse controlled. Loved it.
Oh, what a fevered mind can make us see, make us believe!Fabulous response to the poem, Ms Mouse, and I see you have yet another. I'll be back.K
I'm betting it was real!!!
Fever dreams have that quality of "is it or isn't it?" I remember having a fever dream in which the white silhouette of my sister rose out of her body and walked around the room. Not so much scary as interesting.Fever. Excellent choice. Peace, Amy
I love this clever view....that subtle view of between those two worlds ;D
i find this layered. fever of the body nd mind, finally smiles
I hope its not true and I hope you are feeling well. My husband makes fun of me sometimes for getting grumpy at him after I have had a dream of him doing something horrible but you know he does exactly the same thing, those dreams really hurt!
a morsel, a delight provided the fever breaks and not your heart
