Walk On the Ocean

Lavallette beach, NJ
Slate grey sea, wet sand
Footprints beside seagull tracks
Jagged shells, smooth stones
My soul holds abundant calm
Hand in hand, lacking nothing.

Yeah, well....I bet you still need *something*. Shamwows? A snuggie? Ginsu knives, perhaps?

Thanks for the soft message from you journey, LM. It leaves a sense of peace behind it.(Cool title, too.)

You had some great prompts to work with here, and have created a gem of a poem - such a serenity is hard come by, all the more precious for that.

Simplicity at its best here --- the real beach without crowds, without the suntan seekers, without noise...

Beautifully composed.

Sigh. That's how I feel by the sea, too. This is lovely.
