First an earthquake
Now a hurricane
Prepare for more disasters!
(I was supposed to have a girls' night out)
Battle the grocery store masses of panic
Hoard the bread, milk, and tp
Water, water, water!
(cookies, chocolate, and wine)
Tie down the grill
Store the outdoor furniture
Should've fixed that leaky window
(crap!)
Smell of wet dog
Suspicious puddles on the kitchen floor
Clean up the mess
(what else is new?)

batten down the hatches, winter is around the corner, although every year I am in a delusional state that we will bypass that all together, people think I'm nuts (I live in Northern Manitoba, just for some geographical notes)
haha...guess it is not too funny but...what a crazy world we live in...one thing after another...so is the world going to end? better store up on that wine and chocolate just in case...
I do hope you all survive with least amount of trauma. Thanks for taking the time to write me a Croc Song on In Tandem - much appreciated when you have such big things to worry about...
I can't imagine what it must be like - but every now and then I get the odd feeling that one day we may find out. Here's wishing all the best for you and all the others.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you and yours. Thankfully it seems to be tapering off. People tend to forget the history of living in coastal areas, don't they?
We had an earthquake today! 2.8-Only the richter scale new about it. I think the parenthetical lines really make this poem.
It's getting darker and darker in the evening so it feels like winter is coming and it is. It seems like Summer was just here and now it's going away. Time sure flies and it's going away faster and faster! Enjoy the weather while you can because it will be gone sone enough.http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv119/Bekkiehere/Our%20Animal%20Friends/three_blind_mice_md_clr.gif ♥

I live on the Gulf Coast, so I know this drill well!
An enjoyable read. I loved all the threes in the second stanza - and you did a great job with the parentheticals.
