Poetry is just the evidence of life. If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash. Leonard Cohen

Men

Men who act like children
We see them every day
Perpetual adolescents
Shout and tease and play

Complain about their bossy wives
Always on their tail
But when they get arrested
Who comes to pay the bail?

Men behaving like children
Serve only to annoy
Women want a grown ass man
Not a little boy!

I find some boyishness in men endearing!

I think Kerry may have a lot of company.

Ha.. yes alas I have difficulties with that myself. Maybe that's why it's easier to be friend than lover.

There is only so much silliness that a woman can take, BUT a little bit can be fun! This was very fun!

One of my favorite pieces I ever wrote was "Bad Boy and Family Man," which illustrates how at different times in life, one type of male is desired over the other. Unless, of course, you don't desire a male at all, then even one's too many! Nice verse!

Strangely, my post this week is quite similar to your theme.

A little bit of boyishness is OK; permanent immaturity isn't.
