October Is Gone

November Wind by Lisa Alisa
Like a train you just missed
October is gone
Only the roar in your ears remains
As November enters
you feel your own seasons change
Gold to brown
Red to rust
Leaves to dust
under your feet
You wrap your sweater tighter
try to fight the cold
but it's under your skin
now
Winter begins.

the season of spring and summer came and went so quickly this year for me. for me i think it was because i was atuned to world issues so fully that the warm winds blew by me.

i know i will probably complain about the cold because of my aging body and immune system but i will focus on the significance of my recognition of my complaints because it speaks loudly that i'm still alive and sentient.

great to hear from you Lolamouse

I love this! I'm sitting here and wrapping the sweater tighter as the temperature drops in front of my eyes.
