Poetry is just the evidence of life. If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash. Leonard Cohen

Dog, you, me, dog

dog
you
me
dog
Lined up
on the bed
Pressed together
A living panini
on a sheeted plate
Our essences mingle
wrapped in heat
wrapped in sheets
Warm, gooey, cozy treat
Sandwich perfection
dog
you
me

It is you, me, dog at the foot-jumps-down-off-the-bed-back-on-at least-three-times-every night. Love your sweet poem.

I admit to being a bit suspicious of anyone who doesn't like dogs ~

Only one of my three dogs is allowed on the bed - and the other three are a bit jealous I think. But they are treated fairly - they have soft beds for themselves.
