Not!!! (source) |
Raspberry bars
looked so tasty
in the recipe book
Chocolate, raspberries, sugar, butter, flour
Layered in a pan and baked
Out of oven and cut into squares
Anticipate the deliciousness as the dessert is eaten
Raspberries bitter, chocolate seized, dry, crumbly, so totally nasty!
Toss the whole mess in the garbage and wash dishes
Damn, damn, damn, *#@$, ^$#*, &%**#, *&%$, #@&$*, **&%, *%$#@, $@%**!!!

Quit spying on me in my kitchen, LM!
damn for sure...i like raspberry bars....but sounds like you bake about as well as me...smiles...
Surely it's a problem with the recipe not the baker.
Love the counting of the !@&#*'s as words:) Cute, Ms Mouse!
LOL! Who hasn't endured a cooking disaster like this? Terrific telling of the tale.
I've been laughing through many fun poems tonight, but this is the funniest because so familiar. With me it could be a recipe, a pattern, or a cabinet--directions and outcome are never an exact fit. Sorry nothing was salvageable here, except for the rhythm which I kept while reading straight through the curses!
smiles... sounds like it would have been good
Ya, I have had this kind of experience too!! Looks good, but just doesn't turn out. And all that time and all those ingredients wasted!
Oh, how disappointing! But at least you got a fun poem out of it. :)
