Poetry is just the evidence of life. If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash. Leonard Cohen

Tempt Me

source
Tempt me
You never know
the things I will
do
the places I will
go
if you tempt me
just so

Paint ice hot flames
around our bed
Dare me
to enter
with a silent stare
and a guilty smile

Play me
slow smoky jazz sounds
with your eyes

Write me poems
with your tongue
down my neck
to the small of my back
and dot the 'i' s
with frost covered cherry blossoms

Tempt me
Master all of my senses
Take them from me
I confess
I am no innocent
Use me

I am your canvas
I am your book
Bind me well
Keep me
tempted.

This is very cool, LM--or rather, hot. ;_) Lots of delicious and sensuous imagery in our recipe for temptation--who could resist?

I can almost hear the smoky jazz sounds, and the thrum of the bass, in this sultry piece.

This is very sensual and the metaphor of the lover's body as canvas, book, jazz improvisation, speaks on honest terms. "Take them from me." Demand, plea, command. The line between dominator/dominated is finely blurred, enlivening the erotic arousal and pleasure that seeks total abandonment.

This is beautifully and sensually done, Lolamouse! It almost makes me want to be led into temptation. Smiles. And you chose the perfect picture!

I would like to echo Fireblossom's reference to the stanza about... write stanzas with your tongue...with an additional titillization that I can roll my rrrr's. You can fantacize about the poetry I could write in the small of your back :p .

Oooh, gives me the goose pumps.
