Bump

source
 T-shirt clad belly
Over ripe fruit stretches cloth
Grape bursting its skin
Bump. Pillow. Book stand. Child.
She can not fit in school desk.

I love it when I find humor, even awkward, in poetry. This was worth a smile, especially remembering my belly bumping days. Love the year of the haiku poster.

Nice visual of pregnant young teen ~ The last line is telling and powerful ~

I'm thinking teen pregnancy here. Original way of approaching it. Reminded me a bit of Juno. I wonder if it would deter the new found popularity of having children without fathers. It's a crazy hard choice, but many girls are doing it. Prayers for them.

I like the poem and loved the image the first half gave me. Then I felt bad for her...

Nice way to make a point through image without saying it directly. The last line gave away the key to interpreting the rest ;-)
