I am the girl in black
I wrap myself in blind heartbreak
thick and dark as pitch
The people have branded me
a witch of sorts
What facile assumption!
I, my dear, am a werewolf
I have no need for spells
or dolls with pins
I have claws more caustic
than a scorpion's sting
Teeth that tear through flesh
easy as butter
Men fear me
I am blood
and bite
I am tides
and howling at the moon
They hunt
what they can not understand
or possess
Are you afraid?
Come a little closer
Can you detect my scent?
I wear my blood like perfume
It is quite enticing
once you get past the gore
I know what you're thinking
"She'd be wild in bed"
Well, come lay with me
and I'll show you wild
I will devour you
Savor your taste
on my tongue
and lick my lips
when I am finished.

This is a very different take on the pic. I liked the raw passion of the narrative.
Yikes. I remember many lives ago picking up a girl at the rock bar and when we got back to her place I found a jar of chicken blood in the fridge instead of beer. What's the line from the Stones' "Midnight Rambler"? "Honey, this ain't no rock n roll show." Gulp and amen.
Woo-hoo! This isn't very mousey, Lola! :-)
Haha, watch out! Or, come closer! Hmmmm...
Quite an intense piece! Loved it :D
Good work, I love this! So many nice lines and a fun story to boot...or should I say to bite? Haha no no. Sorry, I crossed the old people line of bad jokery. Great writings. I've been enjoying your poems, Miss Mousie. ;-p
This reads like someone I made a torrid mistake with. Kim, is this you? Mosk
Excellent opening line. I also like these:
"I have claws more caustic"
"I am blood / and bite / I am tides"
What a simply charming girl!
Very fierce! I like how she spits back the assumptions that are made about her.
Mouse! What side of the bed did you awaken on?? Love it!
What happens to someone after heartache can be frightening! Great take!
Wickedly yummy.
