In my opinion, the word 'ugly' in the context of expressing one's subjective judgement view of anything except when referencing actions taken by human upon humans or other living 'things', is an inappropriate use.
All experience, with aforementioned exception, has value therefore not 'ugly'.
Example: Ugly is when I wake up in the middle of the night to let my two mini-poodles, my kids, out and I stub my big toe on the leg of my wooden bed. OUCH! that's UGLY!

Beautiful? Perhaps. Whimsical and charming? Yes.

I'm sure Salvadore Dali would have loved them both.
Beauty being in the eye of the beholder, and art being whatever you can get away with . . great Magpie. Great humor.
Hahaha. What a creative way to say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder! :)
