Poetry is just the evidence of life. If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash. Leonard Cohen

The Writing On the Wall

My 'hood is my canvas
I paint what I feel
Some day I'll be famous
My art is for real

Don't bother no churches
I got more respect
Do more than just taggin'
Ain't what you suspect

You can't buy my art
I do it for me
It don't have a price tag
Don't mean that it's free

My work is raw
It's a force you can't tame
But don't think it ain't art
Cuz it ain't in a frame

These walls are my body
They are most forgiving
They wear my blood proudly
My graff shows I'm living

Nice! Like the man said about art, "I can't describe it, but I know it when I see it." Or wait, was that porn, not art?

I like it. There are some truly amazing artists out there whose stuff will never make it into a gallery. I've seen guys with spray cans that would make Michelangelo jealous.

Excellent - I have never considered graffiti from the artists point of view.

These definitely sound like the words of a graffitti artist. Beautiful rhythm.
