Did you ever wake up and think
"Where am I?"
Not "Where am I?" but
"Where am I?"
It's an entirely different question
profoundly more difficult
to answer
because
the one doing the seeking
IS
the one being sought
(or perhaps not)
It is therefore understandable
why those who find themselves
(that is, lose themselves)
in such circumstances
often may consider it easier
to just go back to
sleep.

I only want to know if its week day or weekend. It the latter, I go back to sleep :-)
Happens to me all the time!
hehe...a few times i have lost myself...i think i found myself...i think....
This is a really great poem! I have definitely asked myself that question. It's a tough one, but I think I found me. :)
The who question is almost as bad. Enjoyed this LM--and thanks for the Talking Heads--so few people seem to realize how great their lyrics were.
Putting the emphasis on a different syllable ~ clever, Mouse.
Oh this is so clever. I relate, I relate. I think mothers especially run into this dilemma.
we all ask this question
depth of field
Clever stuff - I would just go back to sleep!

Wheee! Just as soon as I saw that title the song started playing in my head. So I read your poem in David Byrne's voice. That was fun. Then I got to watch the video, too! Yay!
Every morning...
