Turtle

If the world looks safe and all is well
My little head may poke out of my shell

But if you knock at me too loudly
I'll retreat, so please don't crowd me

I like to observe, watch, take stock
You may forget I'm around, mistake me for a rock

Sometimes I'm moody, want isolation
When winter comes, I crave hibernation

I may not be flashy, flirty, or fast
But I know where I'm headed and I'm built to last

I see turtles every now and again out on the trail. I think they're used to me. They don't usually retreat their head unless my dogs are near. I was surprised one of our cats walked the entire trail with me today.

VERY CUTE! For me its a toss between a cat or reptile, since reptiles hibernate and thats me also, but decided to go with a cat in instead cause I'm not that fond of most reptiles! TURTLES ARE OK, I JUST DON'T LIKE THE LEGLESS ONES! ~~~~~~~~~:)
