Thank you, Jingle and Poets Rally! |
I needed to see that it still existed
After a morning of encounters with ugliness
foul words spit at innocent people
a father yelling at his one year-old son
a long, headache inducing waiting room purgatory
And dates with distress
too much blood
that suspicious lump
one more test
and just one more, just to be sure
Fled to the grocery for something pretty and tasty
And found the fish wasn't fresh
And the gossip was stale as well
But the kid in the check-out lane cracked a lame joke
And it set us all to laughing
And for a moment
Everything seemed beautiful.

Thank you for your little 'pedal in a meadow' it lightens my day therefore there's 'beauty' in that. Beauty sometimes evinces from darkness. Hope your OK?
Humor is the complete elixir of life, pray that you are well today.
omg, i absolutely adore this!
nene: I'm sure all will be well. Just have to do several unpleasant and nuisance tests over the next few weeks and felt the need to whine over it a bit! Thanks for your concern!
beauty is under your pen when you are mindful..
cheers.
:)
Nice, cute and funny. Cheers!
Enjoyable piece, Lola. Bless the kiddies. They are the ones who always help cheer you up - although they're oblivious to the little magic powers they use....!
a reminder that beauty is wherever we seek it
:-)
what a nice piece you've written here!
Probably his divine muse nudged at the check out boy to cheer you up.
I love how you try to see beauty amidst the not so beautiful things! I love how you create beauty! :)
lolssssssss
It so happens often. Glad your not so good day changed to a beautiful one soon! The usual repeated chapters cease to amuse, something out of the box- however small, does the trick!
Love xox
i guess all the ups and downs also adds beauty to the life doesn't it? :) nicely done.
Thank goodness for those little crumbs of joy!
Strange, I have been trying to post a comment n it keeps failing- let's see!
I get it- I'll have to press the "post comment" twice-
So here's what I wanted to say-
At times mundane tried out routine sucks, a clever witty but not repetitive stance works!!
Wishing you more of beautiful days :)
Hugs xxx
What a great ending! Laughter truly is the best medicine for what ails us all. :) Thanks for this spot of light!
Nothing special sometimes is all we need.
Ah, the moment we all have when everything seems old and scary just to have a spark of freshness. These are the moments which define life. Great work, thanks for sharing!
