Hey Deanna
Hey Deanna
I thought about you today
Don't know why
It's been so long
but that song started to play
and I started crying
You know, it just doesn't seem fair
You'd just started flying
When they shot you out of the air
Hey Deanna
Have you found someone to love?
You never could down here
Maybe she's up above
I remember
when you dressed up
for Halloween
In wings and a halo
An angel groovin'
to Dancing Queen
You flirted with the girls
and the boys
The world was just
one of your toys
I can't understand
why you had to go away
Hey Deanna
I remember how you used to dance
You made everyone happy
But you never got the chance
Hey Deanna
Could you maybe send
a message my way?
'Cause I still miss you
and I just wanted to say
Hey Deanna.

Heartbreaking, Ms Mouse. Such losses leave us with holes in our hearts.
K
Kay said it so well... holes in our hearts.
It is hard sometimes how a song makes us remember.
Happily running a 12am-5am Burrito Take out somewhere high above, I am sure of it. I love the internet's ability to introduce us to loving, hardworking people we've never met, yet...
one thing about getting older... we miss people
Ah, poor Deanna. Dang that troublesome Abba!
Actually, every time I hear Dancing Queen I'm taken straight back to that community hall weekly disco in my heavily rhinestone disco top and tight pink shiny drainpipes!
i cant understand why you had to go away....its hard to imagine esp with the life we see from the outside...and never really the inside of the life from stage....
So poignant, Ms Mouse. Beautiful and sad.
Oh, this makes me sad! Music does that it makes us time travel and reminds us of good, bad and sad memories~
Well done
people stay alive in memories , they are never gone, god bless.
Music and certain songs can certainly evoke powerful memories.
Beautifully written
Enjoy every minute of life, treasure the memories... a very sweet poem.
