Closets

source
There are closets in my skeleton
Gaping spaces between bones
Inaccessible places

Lacunae
Waiting for me to press "play"
or not

My ribs are not your tie rack
They sit too close
to my heart.

What a perfect poem, LM. I wish I had thought of any of these lines - each carries its own weight of thought and beauty so well.

The closets in my skeleton.. I love what you turned the other aspects of the idiom into... But hey, I wear my heart close to what ties.

I specially like that ending line and feels there is a back story for these skeletons ~
