Sticky Sweet Summer Memories

Starcraft pop-up towed behind faux wood paneled station wagon
Marshmallows burning to sticky sweet perfection
Odor of pine needles and earth
Rain pelting canvas, resonant and mellow
Eating bologna and cheese sandwiches while waiting for fish to bite
Summer smells of sweat, Coppertone, and bug spray

Not ours but quite similar! Source

Now that sounds like camping to me and right about know that bologna and cheese sandwich sounds fantastic. I was beginning to think that I was the only one who ever had a positive experience with camping…lol. Great memories and a great piece of writing, thanks for posting to my challenge!!!

oh i so love camping. never had a wheeled camper. just pup tent and a ten man military green (from vietnam era). love roughing living off natures natural gifts.
didn't do 'smores' but did eat balogna, crackers, jerky, drank a lot of water.

good to hear from you, mi amiga

Clever! I must admit that camping comes with its own set of memories - not all of them bad.

I like your acrostic. I like it a whole lot more than I ever liked camping!
