They had Hello Kitty when I was a little girl - apparently Sanrio is celebrating their 50th anniversary - I prefer Chococat from their line - great poem. I also went Japanese for the prompt.
Oh, it is strange the hold that Hello Kitty had on me as a little one. I did let her go, though :) Definitely a pop icon in her own right. Go Kitty! Fun piece.
